PRETTY PANTOMIME
"OLD WOMAN IN THE SHOE.”
Next Monday night, in the Criterion Theatre, Hikurangi, the Misses Somerville, the well-known dancing teachers, are presenting their pupils in a brilliand juvenile pantomime, the “Old Wo man in the Shoe.’’ It is a foregone conclusion that a packed house will favour their effort, as the production, when presented in Whangarei on Tuesday and Wednesday nights last filled every seat in the Whangarei Town Hall. The pantomime was a revelation to most and every number was enthusiastically received by appreciative audiences. From the outset the whole performance is joyous in action throughout, colourful and intensely fascinating. The “Old Woman in the Shoe” is well worth seeing.
