COTTON MILLS MERGER
THIRTY ALREADY CONCERNED.

A big .merger of spinning mills in the Egyptian section of the Lancashire cotton trade is announced. The “Times” says that it already includes 30 mills, comprising more than 3,000,000 spindles, but other firms owning nearly 2,000,000 spindles have asked to be allowed to join. The merger’s underlying idea is to prevent price -cutting.
