Sir James Pari- was re-elected president of the Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce.

He said that the present prosperity of Australia and New Zealand was cause for congratulation. The Australian population in the last 15 years had increased by 29 per cent and her trade by 92 per cent, the New Zealand figures being 54 and 123 respectively. Australia in 1928 derived 431 per cent of her imports from Britain and New Zealand 48. The two together wore Britain’s test customer.
