THE MARSDEN SEAT,
Air W. Jones, M.P., opened his political campaign at Kara last night. Air F. Courtney presided over an attendance of 30 electors. The candidate received a warm reception and an attentive hearing. After a number of questions had been satisfactorily dealt with, a hearty vote of thanks and confidence in Air Jones was carried with acclamation. The usual vote to the chair concluded a good meeting. Mr A, H. Curtis addressed the electors at Alaungatapcre last evening. Air K. Stevens was in the chair and there was an attendance of 15 people.
