SECOND MATCH STARTED. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Walter Lindrum and Clark MeConaehy, two brilliant billiardists, of Australia and New Zealand, respectively, opened their match of 18,000 up in Wellington yesterday afternoon before a fair crowd of spectators. The position at the end of the day’s play was: Lindrum 1517 (in play) McConachy 850. Lindrum made breaks in the evening of 307 (unfinished) and 338; McConachy 143 and 117. Lindrum’s average was 183 and McConachy’s 80. The rate of scoring was about 600 per hour.
