HARASSING TACTICS

REMOVAL DEMANDED,

SYDNEY, This Day,

Allegations were made at a recent meeting of the traffic members of the Australian Railways Union, including the porters, ticket collectors, licensed luggage porters, car cleaners, hand others employed at the Central Station, that certain departmental officers had adopted harassing tactics. Particular exception was taken to the methods of one' officer, and a deputation was appointed to wait upon the chief traffic manager to demand his removal from office.

Protest was also made against the adoption of an extended, break in the working hours of cloak room employees, and the meeting resolved, failing redress, that a definite line of action ■should’ be taken to bring about a more equitable system of working, and with a view to the removal of officers,.who it was asserted had acted in an objectionable manner.
