PRESIDENT RESIGNS
A DISHEARTENED MAN.
THANKS LOYAL LEAGUERS,
AUCKLAND, This Day.
James Carlow tendered his resignation as president of tke New Zealand Rugby League on arrival at the meeting.
Speaking of the New Zealand team’s tour he said: “I am disheartened. I do not like to touch on the matter at all. I would like, however, to thank the players who remained loyal to the League.” He added that he would decide on Thursday night on a fitting mark of appreciation of the players in the team who were loyal to the game and to the country that sent them. —Press Assn.
