■SEVERAL CHILDREN INJURED. . NAPIER, This Day. • A "12-scijj;er charabanc, bring 20 children to school from River Bend Road, collided with an Eskdale train on the Taradale road this morning. Several children were injured, some of them seriously. j The car was cut in two, the back Overhanging portion being taken clean off. ~ The railway track was in full view for 100. yards, but apparently the driver failed to notice the train until within a few yards, when it was too late to avoid the smash, —Press Assn. THREE IN HOSPITAL: NAPIER, This Day. Three children are in hospital as a result of the charabanc accident— Mavis Holder, aged nine years, fractured right leg, abrasions and shock; Eric Holder, 13 years of age, fractured left leg; Eric Hodgkinsonj aged 11 years, badly cut about the jaw and mouth.
