LYCEUM TONIGHT. CHAPLIN AS A PRODUCER. The unexpected artistry of "A Woman of Paris "..is perhaps not so surprising when we realise how '' different" Charlie Chaplin has always been. This first production of the talented comedian's is full of his wonderful sense of f'fun," and ytit the uproarious comedy scenes are not of the "slapstick" variety as in some of his own pictures, but genuine slices of laughter from real life. There is no moral lesson preached in "A Woman of Paris," and yet one leaves the theatre envying the philosophy of the woman. After a life full of adulation and hectic moments, to see her happily riding up, the back of an old French market cart with a smiling child beside her, gives , one to think that life is a" pretty good proposition if we take it ! a§ it comes;
