FRENCH FORMULA
REPARATIONS ISSUE. j PRESS OPINION DIVIDED. COMMISSION GOES TO LONDON. (Received 12.40 p.m.) PARIS, July 30. The Reparations Commission, after lengthy deliberation, has decided to go to London. The new French formula of compensatio'n for evacuation of the Ruhr is varyingly commented upon. It is approved by "Le Matin" and "L'Oeuvre" as likely to solve all questions. The Allied Conference is denounced by "Le Journal," which declares that the conference is drifting towards wreckage, and by the "Echo de Paris," which predicts rejection of the formula by the Anglo-Saxon financiers.—A. and N.Z.
