SHOW TROPHIES.

AN IMPOSING EXHIBITION,

Of all kindred associations and clubs there is none in North Auckland possessing a more valuable collection of handsome trophies than the Whangarci A. and P. Society, which will hold its annual show at Kensington PaTk next Wednesday and Thursday.

At the present time five shields an l half a dozen .silver challenge cups are on view in the window of Messrs J. Birch and Sons, opposite the Town Hall and the exhibit has already attracted considerable attention.

Amongst the trophies is the valuable Fletcher Shield to be awarded at the show on Wednesday «ext to the exhibition of the best fat cattle and fat sheep. The President's Cup, presented by Mr E. E. Hodge for the biggest points-getter in sheep classes, the Hutchison Memorial Cup, the Bachelors' Challenge Shield for most points in the cattle clasess, Mr E. A. Simmons' shield for the leading exhibitors of flowers, and the handsome new shield presented by Messrs W. J. Birch and Sons this year for pedigree Jerseys are prominent amongst others. The Shorthorn Breeders' Association's natty little shield, the cup donated by Mr H. Hutchinson for the best bref;d-maker, the Farmers' Trading Coy's silver cup, the handsome cup given to the society by Mr J. Finlayson to foster breeding of the military stamp" of horse, and Messrs. Worsp Bros' silver cup to encourage judging of stock, combine in making the exhibit an extremely interesting one.
