Thc Whangarei Boxing Association's amateur tournament to take place in ! the Town Hall next Friday will undoubtedly provide a good and exciting evening's sport. The programme fs aa follows:— Heavy-weights, 5 two-minute rounds. —P. Kehoe (Whangarei) v. S. Lritt (Houngakaramea). Middle-weights, 5 two-min.ute rounds. —J. Brown (Hikurangi) v. A Snowden (Hikurangi). C. Ruddell (Whangarei High School) is as yet unmatched. Welter-weight, 5 itwo-minute rounds. —F. Coster (Whangarei) v. D. O'Carroll (Maungakaramea). Light-weights, 5 two-minute rounds. —H. Beehre (Whangarei) v. N. Redmond (Onerahi); K. Erceg (Kiripaka) v. E. Jones (Whangarei); J. Beehre (Whangarei) v. C. Clotworthy (Waikaraka). There will also be a special light-weight contest of six rounds of two minutes between J. Humphries (Whcngarei) and J. Dignan (Auckland). Feather-weight, 5 two-minute rounds. —Attwood (MaungakaTamea) v. G. Reeves (Dargaville). •' . Bantam-weights, 4 twg>-minute rounds. —H. Brickman (Dargaville) v. C. Trovern (Whangarei); H. Mclnerney (Onerahi) v. T. Hawldns (Tangowa- | hine). : , Fly-weights, 3 two-minute rounds. — Wl Cossill (Whangarei) v. A. Lacey (Whangarei). Intending patrons should secure their scats at the box plan which is open in Mr W. Abbots' Allies' saloon in Cameron street. Members of the Association have the privilege of reserving their seats free provided they are finascial for the current year.
