At the Addington markets there was an average yarding and general easing in values.
iStore Sheep: Prices showed a drop in both hoggets and wethers the former by quite 2s 6d per head. Ewe hoggets made 22s Id to 31s 3d; mixed sex hoggets, 21s Id to 335; twotooth ewes, in lamb, 31s 6d to 395; fairly good two, four six, and eighttoothewes in lamb 29s to 31s 6d; sound and failing mouth ewes in lamb 18s 3d to 30s 3d; six and eighttooth wethers 32s 2d to 36s 3d; four and six-tooth wethers 32s 6d to 36s 3d; four and six-tooth wethers 32s 6d to 365; two-tooth wethers 24s Id to 2<ss KM.
For a large yarding of fat sheep, prices all round receded on last week's rates by 3s to 4s per head. Graziers secured the bulk of the lighter lines. Extra prime wethers made 47s 6d to 58s 6d; prime wethers- 40s to 475; mledium wethers 33s 9d to 39s;.light and unfinished wethers 26s 6d to 33s 3d; extra prime ewes to 47s 6d; medium ewes 30s to 345; light and unfinished, 23s 3d to 28s 6d; prime hoggets 30s to 355.
Values for fat cattle were easier than last week. Extra prime steers made £36 10s to £40 2s 6d; pr ; me steers £25 10s to £30; medium steers £16 to £24 10s; light and unfinished steers £10 15s to £17; prime heifers, £17 to £19 15s; ordinary (heifers, £13 to £16; prime cows, £17 to £24; ordinary cows, £10 to £15; light and unfinished cows, £8 7s 6d to £9 10s.
In store cattle, three-year-old steers made £10 to £13 2s 6d; two-year-old steers, £7 to £10; dry cows. £3 to £7; heifers, in fair condition, £7 to £10.
Dairy cows sold as follows:—Second and third calvers, £19 to £21; old cows, £10 to £12; good heifers, £13 to £20; inferior heifers, £6 to £11.
A small entry of fat pigs met a good demand. Choppers made £8 to £11 ss; light baconers, £6 5s to £7: heavy 'baconers, £7 15s to £8 10s; extra heavy baconers, to £9 ss, Average price lb, Is to Is lid, Porkers
£4 10s to £5 ss; heavy porkers £5 10s to £6. Average price per lb, Is 2d to Is 3d.
Large stores made £3 18s to £4 2s 6d; medium £3 4s to £3 15s; small stores £2 10s to £3 2s 6d; weaners 30s to £2 12s; sows, in pig £14.
