KAMO V.M.C.A.
SOCIAL EVENING.
Another most enjoyable evening was spent in the Kamo Springs Y.M.O.A. marquee on Wednesday, when the ladies of the Whangarei Soldiers' Entertainments Committee motored out to take part in a progressive euchre tourpament.
Everything was in readiness when the party arrived, and the boys were soon enthusiastic about the. games, The usual decorations adorned the marquee, and twelve tables were kept in constant play.
Prizes won during the evening by Aliases E. Campbell and Howard, and Messrs C. Simpson and S. Stirling, were presented by Mrs Dent.
Supper was provided by the ladies, and at the request of the V.M.C.A. secretary the patients showed their appreciation in no uncertain manner The evening was concluded by the singing of a number of popular choruses, accompanied by Aliss Crane at the piano and Air W. Aluller on the violin.
There are now 33 patients at the Kamo Sanatorium.
