HIKURANGI.
At a meeting of the Hikurangi Football Glub it was decided that the team to play Maungakaramea on Saturday be selected from the following players:— Mclnnes, George, Hamilton, Little (2), Courtney, Taylor (2), Girven, Cunningham, Wibley, Dunn, McLeod (2) Pringle and Payne. A gold medal had been presented by E. Swarm for the best player in the 1918 season. Owing to difficulty of selection it was unanimously decided to hand the medal over to the most improved player in the public school. Young and old are keenly looking forward to the ladies' leap-year ball, which, takes place on Friday, 18th, knowing quite well that the ladies leave nothing to chance and that it will be one of the events of the year.
The euchre parties are again in full swing, and judging by the improved attendance last Thursday night, keen interest is being taken in winning the aggregate prize at the season's close.
