An independent Palatinate has been declared, but there is no indication as to the extent of popular support.— The Germans again baselessly allege French collusion, as in the case of the attempt to establish the Rhine Republic.—A, and N.Z. LONDON, Sept. 2. The French authorities at Ludwigshafen deny the reported revolt against the French, but there was" a (Sanguinary <d|ue to the excessive nervousness of the local police, which resulted in the deaths of two postal officials. Order prevails in Ludwigshafen and the PaJatinate.—A. and N.Z.
