LONDON, Sept. 1.
It is officially stated that the monitors Glow Worm and Cockchafer, at Archangel, were unaware that the lighter was loaded with ammunition, and endeavoured to extinguish the fire. Twenty-one men were killed and nineteen injured.—A. and N.Z.
