MADAM MARVOU.
The Brisbane "Courier," referring to Madam Marvou, who wiill shortly tour the Far North says:—Madam Marvou, who gave her last concert prior to retiring from the Concert World to take up. home life, received such a reception at the Theatre Royal last night that it made one and all sorry to lose such a brilliant singer possessing wonderful talent and one of the greatest contraltos in the concert world to-day, robs the world of a brilliant songstress, it is hoped Madam Marvou reconsiders and comes back to the foot lights as her lovely organ voice is a great loss to the music loving world. Madam leaves for New Zealand with her husband, Mr Leslie Marvou, the famous aerial performer, who is engaged to open at the Auckland Exhibition in December. The people of Brisbane wish them bon voyage, success, and long life, and should they return to Brisbane will be welcomed with open arms.
