FIGHTING IN THE BALKANS.
DESPERATE DEFENCE OF DIBRA
VIENNA, Oct. 3. The recent re-capture of Dibra was sanguinary beyond anything hitherto known in the Balkans. The Albanians defended the place house by house, and only abandoned shelter when the walls fell about them. They contested every yard in the streets with any weapon at hand. The Servians admit that the Albanians behaved like heroes. When the last of the Albanians were expeled Dibra was .a mass of smoking ruins. ATHENS, Oct. 3. Greece has notified the Powers that she relies on them to carry out the London treaty in respect to the Aegean Islands.
