The Heat Wave.
HOSPITALS CROWDED
(Received June 25, 10.32 a.m.') Washington, June 24.
For the fourth day in succession, the heat wave, accompanied- by excessive humidity, has. been experienced in the eastern States. - Thousands are sleeping in the parks and the hospitals are Crowded. Eight deaths are recorded in New York, 15 in Philadelphia and 8 in Pittsburg.
During the last century 52 volcanic islands rose out of the sea. Nineteen of these have since disappeared, and ten are now inhabi<ted.
That Headache, fullness of the eyes, nasal discharge, and sore throat simply want a good treatment with Nazol, which is prompt and certain in giving relief. Try it.
That hard recking cough at night can 'be wonderfully relieved with a few drops of Nazol on a piece of loaf sugar, and allowed to dissolve very slowly between the cheek and gums, and repeated frequently.
Jones' Buckjumpers gave another performance in Whangarei last evening, and again the large enclosure was crowded with enthusiastic spectators. To-night will be the last night of the show, and the programme . will lack none of those features which have made the nightly exhibitions during the present week so attractive. Tempting prizes are offered to those who can retain the saddle on Hastings Bob, Dynamite, or Tornado for specified short periods. The phenomenon of the show is a bucking bullock, which unseats his riders with astonishing rapidity. A. prize worth competing for will be offered to the best boy rider. Those who have been to the entertainment speak highly of its quality, and it can be safely commended to those of the general public who love good horsemanship and amusement.
