National Party Bridge
The Women’s Section of the National Party held their first bridge afternoon of the season on Wednesday last in their new club rooms in Rangitikei Street. The rooms were tastefully decorated with michaelmas daisies and chrysanthemums. The prize winners were Mesdames Speedy (auction) and Mills (contract), the prizes being donated by Mesdames Cummerfield and Field. Mesdames Everiss and Tyrell were the joint conveners and it was pleasing to have a good attendance which augured well for the success of future efforts. A dainty afternoon tea was served, Mrs. Driver and the conveners being the tea hostesses. Mrs. W. F.
