The Dominion Auctioneering Co., report a good demand for all classes of pigs at their weekly sale held on Thursday, light baconers selling to £3 12s 6d, porkers to £2 19s and weaners to 355. Poultry also was keenly sought after, all classes showing a substantial increase in value. Large supplies of fruit and vegetables were disposed of at the under-mentioned rates:— Pigs: Best weaners, 30s to 355; small weaners, 20s to 295; slips, 37s 6d to 395; porkers, £2 l'Os to £2 19s; baconers, £3 12s 6d. Poultry: Heavy hens, 6s 7d to 8s 7d; light, 5s to 6s 4d; roosters, 5s to 8s 3d; pullets, 6s lOd to 8s 6d; ducks and drakes, young, 5s 7d to 7s 6d; old, 3s to 3s lOd; geese, 6s 7d to 6s lOd; heavy cockerels, 7s 4d to 8s 4d; medium, 6s to 6s lOd. Produce: Cauliflowers, 12s to 18s 6d sack; cabbages, 9s to 11s sack; pumpkins, 24s cwt.; lettuce, 5s to 14s case; swedes, 3s 6d to 6s sack; carrots, 4s to 6s sugar bag; parsnips to 14s sack; spinach, 8s to 20s case; leeks, Is 6d to 2s 6d bunch; spring onions, Is 6d to 2s bunch; sprouts, 7d to Sid lb.; rhubarb, 10s to 14s case; radishes, 2s to 3s 6d dozen bunches.
