Mrs. Hayes and her grandson, Jim Elsby, of Eastbourne, have returned home.

After spending a holiday as the guests of Mrs. Carson, Mrs. Wallace, of Hamilton, is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wallace.

There was a Jolly crowd present and a happy time was spent at the social and dance organised by the Young People’s Victory Club for local soldiers’ parcels fund. The hall was decorated with red, white and blue bunting and a V sign. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr. Westwood; songs were contributed by the Glaxo Girls; vocal solos, Mr. Lyons; steel guitar solo, Miss Clevely; vocal solo with guitar accompaniment, Mr. McGartli. Supper was served and dancing continued till a late hour.
