Woodville Wedding

MATTHEWS—HARES A quiet wedding of considerable interest to Woodville and Pahiatua residents was celebrated in Holy Trinity Church, Woodville, on September 10, 1943, tho officiating clergyman being Rev. Spey. The contracting parties wero Alargaret, second daughter of Air. and Airs. Clias. Hares, of Woodville, and I Robin, youngest son of Air. and Airs. P. J. Matthews, of Pahiatua. The bride, j who was escorted by her father, was attired in a charming model frock ot j cloudy pink crepe, with a largo halo 1 felt, lace-trimmed hat to tone, her ’ lovely posy of pink cyclamen, dianthus ' and freesias completing a charming j toilette. Tho two 'maids, Aliss Betty { Hares (sister of the bride) and Aliss 1 Yvonne Matthews (sister of the bridegroom), wore biscuit and blue frocks respectively, with hats to tone, ana posies of spring flowers. An informal supper party was held at the residence ; of the bride's parents where Airs. Hares received immediate relatives, in a smart black tailored coat over an almona green frock. A black and white hat, black and white kid gloves and a posy J of violets, freesias and stock completed a smart toilette. Tho bridegroom’s' mother woro black. When the young ! couple left for travelling, tho bride donned a tailored black coat and accessories. The bridegroom is a member of the R.N.Z.A.F. and is shortly to go overseas. The bride is a member of the W.A.A.C.
