Mrs. G. Ryan, of Sydney, who has been visiting her brother, Mr. C. Johnson, of Ohakune, is now staying with her sister, Mrs. D. Evans, of Chelwood Street. Mias I. V. Shrin*pton has be<w appointed secretary V f the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, being the first woman to hold such a position in New Zealand.
