Flies Have Air Superiority
“The heat is terrible and the divebombing rather demoralising at times, but by far our biggest worry is the flies," wrote Captain G. S. Cooper, M.C., from Egypt to a fellow-member of a Christchurch swimming club. "Words cannot describe the savage little brutes, and, believe me, they have complete aic superiority at the moment. A good reward is offered to the chap who can breed a race of flies ‘with British markings.’*
