Silver Wedding Celebration
In celebration of their silver wedding anniversary Mr. and Mrs. T. Hicks, Carthew Street, Feilding, recently entertained friends at a delightful evening in the Parish Hall to mark the culmination of 25 years of their marriage. Dancing was enjoyed to the music of an orchestra, the hall presenting a cheery atmosphere with its lounge and ' 1 bowls of bright autumn flowers. At the supper interval Mr. and Mrs. p- Hicks were presented with a handsome or chiming clock with best wishes and ie congratulations from friends. Mrs. Hicks appeared in a charming gown of cyclamen satin, while Mrs. Worsfold, her bridesmaid, wore green floral silk. The toast list included, honours to the a bride and bridegroom, the bridesmaid, ar the children (Colin and Betty), Mrs. to Hicks’ parents (Mr; and Mrs. Tobeck) and Mrs. Duckworth, 6f Napier. Flowers in the supper room had been ar- '• ranged by Mrs. Lowe, Kiwitea, while the much admired wedding cake was the work of the guest of honour, Mrs. Geo. Wilkinson being responsible for its decoration. The event was a happy one, Mr. and Mrs. Hicks receiving _ many congratulations on this attainment in their lives.
