A total of 5800 ration books have been issued at the Feilding Post Office to date. The National Savings quota in Feeding and district was reached again on Saturday. J Private G. S. Tate, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Tate, Denbigh Street, has t 0 arrived in Feilding after being e t invalided home from overseas. The Feilding Returned Soldiers’ Association’s annual reunion for returned soldiers will again bo held on Auzac Day and the ladies’ committee in charge of the arrangements make an appeal to citizens of the town and district for practical gifts of food for this occasion. Past years have seen a very generous response to this request for foodstuffs and cash donations and it is expected that this year will prove r no exception. Intending donors may communicate by phone with Mrs. A. H. Atkinson or Mrs. R. H. Buchanan.
