Longer Life for Talon Fasteners
You have probably a foundation or two with a talon fastoner and though it is the most abuse-proof and efficient of the many slide fasteners that at one time or another have been used in corse try, even it may play up if you treat it too badly. Always see that the opening is even before you draw up the talon. If edges arc askew you will wear the teeth, and make curves and bulges. Get it straight first and it will zip shut quickly and smoothly. When laundering foundations with talons, also close them before the garment goes into the suds. And leave them closed through the drying process —which should be gentle. No fierce heat, either artificial or sun—as the fine lastretch will lose elasticity if you do that too often. Talking of ‘often’: Many have the idea yet that foundations should not be .washed. All the best makes come up smiling from the tub and actually last longer, as perspiration is hard on any (fabrics and especially so on the stretchablo materials employed in all good foundations to-day.
