Obituary
MRS. O. E. EDMOND Mrs. O. E. Edmond, who has just passed away, would be remembered by I very many returned soldiers of the last war for her work at the Hornchurch Convalescent Camp. Mrs. Edmond managed the canteen provided by the late Mr. W. Williams, of Hawke’s Bay, and which was turned into the large model Y.M.C.A. recreation and vocational training hut. Mrs. Edmond was there from its inception In 1916 till the convalescent camp was closed in 1919 and her services were suitably recognised by the head office of the Y.M.C.A. in London, and also the camp authori ties.
