(From Our Own Correspondent.) At the fortnightly meeting of the Rangiwahia Women’s Patriotic bowing Guild Mrs. C. Smith presided. As usual there was a good attendance . which shows the keen interest taken ia this movement. The committee wish to acknowledge donations of cash and goods from the following:—Mosdames W. Boshier, P. Jewell, L. 1., and L. G. and G. E. Rose, D. Couper, Hall snr., Koigard, J. Fraser, D. Jones, U. H. HGuthrie, W. J. Beard, D. Watt, A. J. Martin, M. M. Wood, L. Meiklejohu, .T. Thompson, C. Smith, A. Price, McKenzie and Fankhauser, and Misses E. Wood and A. McKenzie. Inuring the | last two months the following goods have been sent to Feilding: —Twelve pairs of mittens, 34 balaclavas, 3 4

scarves, two skull caps, one pair of socks, 27 hussifs, six handkerchiefs, six singlets, 35 hospital handkerchiefs, two petticoats, four shirts, four cotton frocks, five woollen frocks, one pair of baby’s crawlers. Privates Strawbridgc and Cotter (Middle East Forces) have both been forwarded a parcel of knitted comforts as they lost everything in Greece or Crete. A similar parcel was sent to Private R. Stantiall before he sailed for service overseas.

Card Evening ! Once again there was a good attendance at the Ruahine card tournament and dance held recently, some 40 players participating. Winners for this competition were: —Ladies, Miss A. Hall and Mrs. J. Thompson had to cut- off, the latter proving the winner, with Mrs. M. Thompson winning the consolation; men, Mr. A. Millan 1 with the consolation going to Mr. S. Thompson. Music for dancing was supplied by Miss lv. Thompson and Mr. A. McMillan. The ladies’ committee supplied supper. Patriotic Concert and 'Dance

The Rangiwahia hall was the location for one of the jolliest evenings held for many weeks when the .Feilding Ravage Club presented a concert lor patriotic purposes. Entertaining items were presented to a very large and enthusiastic audience. One of the items which met with much applause was a piano-ac6ordion solo by A. Wright of Feilding, who responded to several encores. The concert concluded with two renditions by the club orchestra. The floor was then cleared and until midnight dancing filled the programme. The leader of the club voiced thanks and appreciation for the hospitality tendered him and members of the club on the visit to the district. He said it had given them much pleasure to come up and put on this concert for the patriotic funds and he also thanked the ladies for the supper. Winners of competitions were as follows;- String of pearls, donated by P. E. Jewell, won by Mrs. H. Thompson; ham, Miss G. Moess; set of lingerie, A. McMillan and another trophy was won by A. Wriglit of Feilding. A- Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss G. Mocss and G. Lawrence. Music for dancing was supplied by A. Wright and D. Carr.
