Handkerchiefs for Soldiers

(To the Editor.) Sir, —The Red Cross Sewing Bee has been requested to furnish handkerchiefs for soldiers in hospital and for the purpose, as they will oe burnt after use, these can be made out of old linen, old tablecloths, old sheets, old mftrcella quilts, and, in fact, any clean while linen. Old linen is required to cover splints for emergency cases and I shall bo grateful if residents will look out just what they can spare and leave their parcels at the Pahiatua Borough Council office as soon as possible.—l am, etc., S. K. SIDDELLS, Tres., Pahiatua Red Cross Society.
