PRACTICE GAMES IN FEILDING There was a good muster of junior and third-grade players at Johnston Park on Saturday for the initial practice games of the season. A composite junior fifteen played a match against Buunytliorpe, tho visitors winning by six points to three. At the interval the Feilding personnel was changed in order to give those who were standing aside a chance to show their paces. Generally the selectors were very pleased with the material offering. After this match a game between the third-grade players was staged and here again there was evidence of much promising material. The High School did not field a team, although one was expected. In addition to many new players, there were players present from Halcombe and Waituna, and the selectors feel confident that the season will open wiih. Feilding supplying both a junior and third-grade team. It is anticipated that a number of players will be available after the close of the present militry manoeuvres.
