Britain Orders Freighters From United States
WASHINGTON, Oct. 31. The Secretary to tho Treasury, Mr. Henry Morganthau, announced that the British Government lias placed orders with American shipbuilders for a large number of new freighters. A special British shipping commission lias arranged that tho freighters be standardised and of the 20,000-ton type. The commission is now investigating shipbuilding facilities in Canada
