LONG-RANGE HEAVY BOMBERS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Friday, 8.30 p.m. WASHINGTON, Oct. 31. According to responsible officials the U.S. Array has released the secret Sperry gyroscopic bombsight to Britain. United States officials stated that most of the new planes, sought by Britain will toe long-range heavy bombers needed for the day promised by Mr Churchill when the British take tho offensive. Reports persist tliat Britain will soon receive some of the United State* “flying fortresses.” British sources state that the actual shipments of aircraft to England in September were 250 units and in October were expected to be the same. In November they would be 300 and by June the shipments would be at least 600 monthly. Mr. Wendell Willkie, in a speech at Wilmington, derided President Roosevelt’s recommendation in favour of priority for the delivery of 12,000 warplanes to Britain. ‘‘Well, who wouldn’t? As a matter of fact if you elect me President our production will be so geared up that such a request would not even constitute news because it would be insignificant in comparison with what America would do productively. ’ *
