Envoy Farewelled
SALVATION ARMY OFFICER TRANSFERRED Opportunity was taken on Monday evening by memoers and friends of the Pahiatua Salvation Army Corps to bid farewell to Envoy H. B. Painter, who has been in charge of tne corps’ activities for thee past six months. During the evening words of farewell were spoken by Mrs. Hanford, Rev. W. E. Moore and Mr. H. Lowe, who voiced the sentiments of all when they wished the Envoy Godspeed and all the best in his new appointment. In reply, Envoy Painter thanked the speakers for their wishes and expressed pleasure at having had the opportunity of working among the people of Pahiatua. After singing the Doxology and pronouncing tho Benediction, the evening closed with the serving of supper provided by the ladies.
