From Our Own Correspondent. Last Friday night the badminton club held a dance in the hall, the music being supplied by a professional orchestra. Messrs. R. Meads and A. Sowerby acted as M’s.C. Among those present were Mesdames L. Meads, rust silk cloque; A. E. Shannon, brown embossed crepe and white fur coatee; D. Old, pink embossed chiffon and fur coatee; J. England, gold taffeta; C. Pollard, black satin and cyclamen, coatee to tone; C. B. Palmer, pink floral georgette and fur coatee; E. H. Lewis (Kimbolton), royal blue marocain; R. Williams (Kakariki), black marocain; C. Snow, green taffeta; Tuck, lemon satin; T. D. Stokes, wine and gold, coatee to tone; and Misses M. Thomasen, black moire taffeta; Z. Meads, blue needlerun lace, cyclamen trimming; U. Shannon, brown velvet, coatee to tone; V. Thomasen, black silk velvet; M. Jamieson, white floral moire taffeta; J. Nitschke, pastel pink georgette; N. Old, embossed green taffeta; J. Versey, blue angelskin lace; B. Shannon, green net; D. Sowerby, blue cloque, floral coatee; P. Halford, pink satin; Wheeler (Feilding), pink moire taffeta; P. Smith, pink net over satin; J. Monk, pink satin, floral coatee. A Montfe Carlo waltz was won by Miss Wheeler and partner; lucky Gay Gordons by Mr. R. Kraiger and Mrs. Pollatfd; spot waltz by Miss M. Thomasen and partner.
