3000 Italians Killed In Guerilla Warfare

King Zog, interviewed before going to England, said: “I am very tired after all I have experienced. Although the queen and I need rest, we are going to work to free Albania." Queen Geraldine said she hoped to spend a long holiday in England. “We are so far undecided what to do there, but the king has important plans. Mussolini cheated my people and me. Albania will cheat him." The royal entourage revealed that the Albanians were still waging guerilla war, more than 3000 Italians having been killed since the invasion. The blinds of the Italian Embassy were lowered as the royal party drove to their hotel. Crowds shouted: “Long live King Zog! Down with Italy! "
