From Our Own Correspondent. Miniature Rifles The Awahuri Miniature Riile Club held their weekly shoot last Monday night, when there was a fair attendance owing to the inclement weather. The scores were as follow: H. Matthews, 69—69—137; A. Matthews, 68—69—137; R. Matthews, 69 —68—137; W. Malhieson, 68—68—136; J. Lucas, 68—67—135; J. Milligan, 68—67 135; L. Taylor, 67—68—135; K. Matthews, 66 68—134, A. Brownlie, 67—67—134; R. Moore, 65—68—133; M. Cocker, 67—66133; W. Odgers, 65—67—132; A. Dear, 69 63 F. Dear, 67—64—131; D. Dear, 64 —67—131; T. McKinnon, 67—61—128; J Christian, 65—62—127; G. Alexander, 61— 64 125; J. McKinnon, 64—57—121. The grade winners were: A Grade, H. Matthews, A. Matthews and R. Matthews (a tie); -B grade, J. Lucas; C grade, M. Cocker. On Thursday night Aokauiere A and B teams journeyed to Awahuri to compete against the latter teams. The local A tied with Aokautere A and the B team defeated Aokautere B. Oke have returned home after spending an enjoyable holiday at Levin, where they were the guests of Mrs. W. Bracken. Mesdames K. Waterson (Linton) and Gatchell (Taihape) were recently the guests of their sister, Mrs. L. Oke. Mr. and Mrs. Maize and Mrs. Speechley have returned north after spending a short vacation at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Bond.
