Germany Defaults Polish Trade Pact
MACHINERY NOT DELIVERED United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. WARSAW, May 10. A Government committee recommends the suspension of deliveries of foodstuffs to Germany under the Polo-Ger-man trade pact pending a readjustment. The treaty provided that Poland should exchange foodstuffs for machinery on a long-term creart basis. Tho committee reports that Germany has failed in the delivery of machinery and owes Poland £1,G00,000 under the agreement, the reason for the failure being the high price and unsuitability of the machinery and the excessive German rate of interest.
