HAUjAM by-election United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, May 10. The llallam by-election resulted as folio wb: — ' R. Jennings (Conservative) .. 16,030 C. S. Darvill (Labour) 0,939 Of the 67 by-elections held since the 1935 General Election the Government parties have lost ten to Labour and three to Independents. At the 1935 elections Sir Louis Smith (Conservative) held his seat by 21,298 votes against 10,346 polled by the Labour candidate, Miss G. M. Colman.
