Bend at Himatangi

MOVE FOR ELIMINATION A move to secure the elimination of the bend at the railway crossing on the Palmerston North side of Himatangi on tho Foxton main highway was made by the Automobile Association at its meeting on Monday evening. The president, Mr. W. H. Brown, said that as members were no doubt aware there had been an accident at tho spot. It would be quite a simple matter to straighten out the road so that the sliorp bend would not be there. He thought that by the expenditure of a small sum the road could be made straight. On Mr. Brown's motion it was decided to make representations to that effect to the Main Highways Board.
