CRADLE ROLL MEMBERS ENTERTAINED
At St. Paul’s Hall, Feilding, on Wedxiesday afternoon there was a good attendance of mothers and children, •when the Cradle Roll members were entertained by the Feilding branch of the Women’s Christian Tompenance Union. A varied programme was contributed by the children:—Recitations, Doreen Rogers, Earl Wilson, Colleen Smith, Ruth Eade, Helen Dixon; dance, N. Wildbore; duet, Dan Eade and Allan •Stewart; songs, Margaret Dewe, Nola Tremaine; pianoforte solos, Nola Wildbore, Ruth Browu. Pastor Latta, of the Baptist Church, who has worked among children with the C.S.S.M., gave a talk, showing that champion athletes are total abstainers. He quoted especially Mrs. Helen WillsMoody and Donald Budge at tenuis; Jack Lovelock, Opperman, Ossie Nicholson, Fred Woodhuse, Alex Murray, Jean Batten, Flying-Officer Cloustou, Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney and man) others well-known in athletics and other great achievements. These all know that better results are obtained from milk than from beer. Tho children were all given gifts.
