Euchre at Makino
AGGREGATE PRIZES PRESENTED The last of a series of euchre tournaments conducted throughout the winter by the Makino Hall Committee was held in the local hall on Wednesday evening, when there was a good attendance of players. The ladies’ prize was won by Miss Davey, the sealed going to Miss J. Thurston. In the men’s games Mr. A. Wishnowsky won the first prize, Mr. Sehrieber annexing the sealed. The men’s prizes were donated by Mr. W. E. Baker. The ladies’ travelling prize went to Mrs. J Hill, and the men’s to Mr. Thurston. Mr. W. D. R. Baker, chairman of the hall committee, in a brief speech, presented the aggregate prizes for the year, these being won by Mrs. Thurston and Mr. Vincent. At tho next fortnightly evening, flag fivo hundred will be played.
