Feilding Old Boys Football Club

SURPRISE PARTY AND PRESENTATIONS A very happy time was spent on Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Jenkins, of Poole Street, Feilding, when some 25 members of the Feilding Old Boys Football Club paid them a surprise visit. After sup per, which had been supplied by the members of the club, Mr. Jack Finlay, on behalf of club members, presented Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins with a beautiful silver tea service, suitably engraved, as a token of appreciation of their services to the club. Acnnowledging the gift, Mr. Jenkins thanked the players for their kindness and said it was a pleasure to bo associated with such a fine team of young men. The opportunity was also taken to make a presentation to Mr. J. Dewe, cue of the good old stalwarts of the club. Tho presentation took the form of a beautifully hand-knitted little frock and suit for Mr. Dewe’s twin children. Mr. V. Freeman was also presented with the club’s efficiency cup for the past season.

Recipients in each case suitably replied, and an altogether enjoyable evening was brought to a close at midnight.
