Start of Glamorgan Match Delayed
BANK HOLIDAY CROWD ANNOYED United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Tuesday, 12.10 a.m. LONDON, Aug. I. The cricket match Australia v. Glamorgan did not start till 12.30. Despite the hot sunshine the wicket had not recovered from the week-end soaking. Tho announcement was greeted with booing by the bank holiday crowd, thousands of whom were queued up awaiting admission. Glamorgan had lost no wickets for 68 at lunch. Dyson, not out 26 Davies, not out 37 Extras 5 When play began the wicket appeared sticky. White and Waite resumed the bowling and sent down foul maidens apiece. The wicket thus far appeared to play truly but the batsmen were extremely cautious. The first run came from Waite in the twelfth over causing ironical applause and the first run from White came in the eighth over. Davies should have been run out when 24, Walker missing in an attempt to take off the bails. Lunch was taken half an hour late.
