General Notes
RAINFALL FOR LAST MONTH A total of 3.39in. of ram fell on 18 days during July. The heaviest fall was .7oin. on the 29th. Tho records were taken by Mr. J. C. Bolton, of Waipuna. Winners of the flag “500“ at Ngawapurua on Saturday night were Mrs. Reid 1, Mrs. C. Morgan 2, Mr. J. Singers 3. Mrs. L. Williams and Mrs. C. Morgan supplied the dance music, Mr. N. Kopke being M.C. At the Foresters' euchre party, Mr. J. P. Goodwin won the first prize and Mr. and Mrs. Kenyon secured second and third trophies respectively. At short notice, tho Woodville Women’s Institute, in order to fill a gap, staged a drama, “Her Affairs in Order/’ at the Dannevirke festival. The institute did not get into the prize list, but put up a very good performance. Those who took part were Misses K. Ware, M. Cross, A. Stevenson and J. Kirkpatrick, and Mesdames T. Smith and J. Thomason. The producer was Miss J. Stevenson.
