Crash in a Fog
CAPTAIN DTJSTIN’S DEATH LONDON, July 16. A New Zealand pilot with considerable experience and a promising career before him was killed when a aeroplane crashed in a fog at Land’s End recently. Ho was Captain David L. Dustin, formerly of Wanganui, New Zealand. Captain Dustin was flying an aeroplane belonging to Channel Air Ferribs, Limited, by whom he was engaged, «. -id with six passengers was returning from a holiday trip to the Scilly Islands. Four of the passengers were from one family. Three of them were detained in hospital. The others suffered from shock, but escaped serious injury. Captain Dustin was educated at Wellington College, and left a commercial firm to come to England to join tho Royal Air Force. He served for five years on a short service commission, two of them in Irak. Ho was discharged with the rank of flying-officer, and placed on the reserve. Returning to Irak, he was engaged by Airwork, Limited, a position which he gave up to join the Channel Company. He leaves a widow and one young child. Their home is in Penzance.
