From Our Own Correspondent. Table Tennis. An interesting game in the C grade table tennis competitions was played on Thursday evening when a team from Sanson met the local B team. The match was won by the local team by 24 games to 12. Results were as follow, Longburn players being mentioned first:— R. Berry beat J. Coulter, J. Bradley, K. Hansen, Aliss F. Yedyc; lost to Miss PMeyer and K. Pearce. AI. Holland beat Coulter. Pearce, Aliss Yedye, Hansen; lost to Miss Meyer and Bradley. B. Rowland beat Pearce, Bradley, Hansen; lost to Miss Aleyer, Coulter and JMis3 Tedye. Miss J. Holland beat Pearce, Bradley, Aliss Yedye, Hansen; lost to Aliss Meyer and Coulter. D. AlcCleiland beat Miss Aleyer, Coulter, Pearee, Bradley, Aliss Yedye, and Hansen. M. AlcClelJand beat Pearce. Aliss Yedye, Hansen; lost to Miss Meyer, Coulter and Bradley. Flag Five Hundred. The fortnightly flag five hundred oven ing again drew a largo attendance, the winners being: Ladies, Airs E. Conway and Aliss T. Murray; men. Air B. Rankin and Air V.Rankin; consolations, Airs J. Holland, Aliss M. Holland, Air Oke and Air Bailey. On Wednesday evening last tho losaJ hall was filled to capacity for the yearly entertainment given by St. Chad’s Players. Those taking part were Alisses U. Chamberlain, L. and J. Hearsey, Airs Alartin, Messrs S. and H. Rowland and J. Hearsey. The acting was of a high standard and earned well merited applause. At the final curtain, bouquets and gifts were handed to the ladies talc ing part. On behalf of tho players, Air J. Alartin thanked everyone for attending .and also the various people who hatf in different ways. He then asked Alisa B. Roodgers, the producer, to accept a small gift in appreciation oof her untiring efforts. Aliss Rodgers said she had enjoyed helping. Air J. Hearsey, in making a presentation to Air Alartin, thanked him for the help he nad given. Supper was served and a dance Drought to a close a successful and enjoyable evening. Personal. Airs W. Fletcher and Airs Murray were visitors to Wellington for the Dominion conference of the W.l. Airs AI. Levy is at present visiting Wei iington. Mrs L. Shirtliff, of Hastings, is the guest of Air and Airs G. Chamberlain.
