From Our Own Correspondent, A meeting of the hall committee was held recently when general business was transacted. A special committee meeting is to go into the matter of hall improvements. The winners of prizes at the recent euchre party were: Dadies, Mrs C. Puklowski 2; men, Mr Parton 1, Mr N. Dawrence. This was the final euchre, and dances will now be held on Saturdays, at intervals. The first of these was held last Saturday', when a happy time was spent. Mr F. Eagle acted as M.C. A committee meeting of the local branch of the Babour Party was held last week, when it was decided to support the queen carnival, and a dance is to be arranged, the date to be advertised later. Miss Kyle, of Waipukurau, is the guest of Mrs Shannon. Mrs Harrowfield has returned home from hospital after her recent accident. Mr J. Woodd, also the victim of a motor accident, is x>rogressing favourably and hopes to be out of hospital in about a week.
